How to Choose the Right SEO Service

So you decided to outsource your SEO, or maybe just some of it because of a lack of time. Where do you start for finding a reputable SEO service that won't break the bank?

For starters, there are a lot of great SEO services provided by capable Warriors for hire in the Warriorforum that offer honest services. However, there are always going to be discrepancies with what SEOs anywhere on the web offer and what you get. So how can you tell if an "SEO Expert" can really put his money where his mouth is?

1. Testimonials

This is the most important factor for gauging the honesty and effectiveness of an SEO service. Is it working for other people? If there are a lot of other individuals or businesses having great success with the service then you can probably assume the same results for yourself. However, things aren't always this clear-and-cut. You'll still want to look deeper in case the reviews were mostly by newbies or if there were not enough reviews to base your judgment off of.

2. Proof

Proof of the SEO service's results goes hand-in-hand with testimonials most times. Where is this "SEO Expert's" own site in the SERPs? They should have sort of evidence that they can rank a site highly in the SERPs, otherwise how can they rank yours? Testimonials and case studies are definitely the most powerful form of proof since you can't guarantee that the service provider ranked his sites with only the method described.

3. Do they Index the links?

This is actually a pretty effective way of picking out the pros from the joes. Building backlinks alone is fine, but the links need to get indexed. Any SEO professional worth his two cents is going to have some sort of indexing process built into his/her service. If you are looking at a service that doesn't even mention indexing the backlinks then it is likely that you are not looking at a service offered by a professional. Having an indexing process integrated into the service is a must-have for SEO outsourcing, and it's an aspect often overlooked or ignored by less savvy SEO service providers.

4. Be Wary of Profile Link Services!

I'm not saying that profile links can't be effective for ranking or that everyone using profile backlinks is shady. Far from it in fact, there are many excellent SEO services that use profile backlinks. That being said, most of the lower quality, ineffective backlinking services that you'll find will be primarily profile backlinking services. Think about it from their perspective: it is very easy to do with the right software and takes next to no real knowledge to automate and fulfill. Just be cautious when approaching a service that is offering only profile backlinks for rankings.

5. Do They Address Nofollow Links?

Not every SEO service is going to do this, but a lot (not all) of the successful and effective services will address nofollow links and their presence or admission in their service. A lot of great services won't reference this issue, but many will. Just keep it in your mental checklist of things to check for when picking out an SEO service.

6. PR Confusion

This is most common with SEOs selling link packets and profile link services. They (purposely?) confuse the issue of PageRank and exactly how it works. For instance, they'll tell you that you're going to get high PR backlinks because you're going to get profile links from high PR forums. This just isn't true. The homepage of the forum might be high, but the page that your profile link is going to be on is a brand new page with a PR 0. Your link is not going to get any of the homepage PR. I would steer clear of anyone confusing these concepts, they're confused themselves or being deceptive to make sales.

Conclusion

Take your time https://dougleschan.com/seo-services/selecting SEO services. Make sure that there are plenty of testimonials and proof of success. If there aren't, refer to some of the other points made to see if it will be a reliable and effective service. SEO is a big topic and it's easy to get confused or overwhelmed by the sales copy if you're still new to it. Just follow this checklist for gauging the credibility of a service and you should have no problems getting the results you want. The difference between two similarly priced services can be drastic, make sure you get your money's worth!

Do You Really Need SEO Services for Your Business?

Opposite to what many webmasters would intentionally suggest; one can survive on the Web without taking support of any SEO services company. But this certainly applies to a restricted set of cases. Bloggers who just want to broadcast their thought without seeking any huge crowd to their site may not need SEO services. Website owners whose website is already known to its targeted audience many not necessarily need SEO services to popularize it further. Again, anyone who just wants to be on the Web without any intention to be popular or driving revenue can survive without SEO tonic.

But these cases are really rare, especially when someone is on the Web to earn money, when someone is on a business which is really competitive and when someone needs to target potential traffic to drive maximum attention. Now the truth is almost all the websites want to be the leader in their niche today. They want to be popular, they want to be fund and get noticed. And this is exactly where and why they need SEO services from a good SEO company.

Here's a detailed look on why the services of any SEO Company is really important

Major number of traffic is derived from search engines today. People will type keywords in the search box to find what they need. If they don't find you in first few searches, they might never know who you are.

There are uncountable websites available today. The market is competitive and every one is here with something unique. Out of all these, search engines love to recommend searchers the best quality sites which could help them in taking decision. Now, SEOs help search engines do their job more easily by suggesting the sites they are dealing with. Hence, search engines believe them.

SEOs help you get insightful thoughts. When you see the details of the activities initiated by the incoming traffic to your site, you understand what your audience actually needs from you. Their keywords, their preference, their likeness help you improve your site the thoughtful way. You would see the next big article on your blog is actually based on a keyword searched by your audience.

Unlike other mediums of advertising which can cost you money and time, a good SEO services company needs less time and less money to show you quality results. Your time is saved and you get better benefits of an improved service.

An SEO Company can track down the intricacies of your competition more accurately. While you may guess what's pulling up the success of your competitor, the SEOs can pinpoint their real success story. They can find out the right keywords, targeted audience, and nature of practices which your competitors are using to be on the top. Based on the findings, they can get a fair picture of the market, competition and your future game plan.
That's okay, but aren't there any challenges?

There are. In fact, there are many. With the considerable popularity of SEOs, the industry is becoming hugely successful. But then certain crucial factors play a pivotal role in determining its success all the time. Getting the help of any SEO firm is futile if the services they provide do not fetch you results. This is the main point where the game changes. There must be many cases where business owners fail to realize the full powers of SEO. They take their site through to the SEO services company hoping some good news is on the stock soon. But when their IT spends return with zero benefits, they start believing SEO is of no help. This arises out of many reasons, some of which many include

The SEO Company is not experienced enough to understand your business

The SEO Services Company failed to track down the right set of keywords which matters you most

The company is using unethical practices to rank the website

The traffic is coming but it's not making the way for generating revenue.

The client has not asked for the full advantage of SEO Services. This includes getting half of the services when only a full-fledged SEO package could be beneficial for him.
There are also a lot of other factors that collectively result in the failure of service. If a client is aware of the loopholes and smart enough to understand in advance what he really needs to pay, he would surely realize a higher ROI. To conclude, if you want to be found on the Web, you need SEO service. And if these services come from a quality SEO services company, you are sure to scale new heights of success. That's it.

Your SEO Service, Ethical SEO, and Competitor Monitoring

When a company undertakes a search engine optimization program, whether it is performed in-house or outsourced to an SEO service, most of the attention (and rightly so) is focused on the company website. This is the one aspect where there is a feeling of control--once a website is released into the wild, the company will have to see how its site fares against all the other websites out there, whether the other sites are using ethical SEO tactics or not.

Apart from changes made to the company website, the assumption is often that the company and, if it is using one, its SEO service, has zero control over what appears in search engine results. However, this is not usually the case. Often, you or your SEO service can have a direct effect on search engine results by monitoring your competitors and reporting them to the major search engines when the SEO techniques used on their site fall outside what is popularly referred to as ethical SEO. (Please note that while I believe that the word "ethical" is tossed around too often, "ethical SEO" has become the standard phrase to describe white hat techniques, and so it is the phrase I use throughout the article.)

Primary Competitors

To start with, let's define competitors. Almost every company has at least a handful of other companies that it considers to be primary competitors--the ones that sell the same products and services, that are of similar size, and so on. It is important that the SEO efforts (or lack thereof) of these competitors, whether they are using ethical SEO techniques or not, be monitored on a routine basis. If they have not hired an SEO service of their own, or if they have not started doing SEO in-house at all, you will have peace of mind knowing that the use of this channel, for the moment, is yours. If your competitors begin an SEO campaign, with or without an outside SEO service, you can learn much about their sales and marketing tactics by evaluating the keyphrases that they target. And you can also investigate whether they are using ethical SEO practices in their campaign.

Your Online Competitors

It's important to keep in mind that it is unlikely that searchers are going to decide only between you and the primary competitors you have listed. They are going to consider any company that matches their particular needs and that shows up for their search term. This is why your criteria for a competitor online should broaden to encompass any company that offers products or services like yours that outranks you for any of your targeted keyphrases. If your in-house staff or your SEO service not only continually monitors your search engine positions but also analyzes the companies that appear above you in search results, you can often identify forward-looking competitors of which you were previously unaware--your primary competitors of tomorrow.

Violations

This brings us to the key issue of ethical SEO. Search engine optimization is still a very new concept to most companies. Even the most respected companies can make mistakes in this arena, either by choosing the wrong SEO service, or by trying to avoid hiring an SEO service altogether by bringing it in house with well-intentioned but unqualified people. For example, BMW's German site was recently removed temporarily from the Google index for using doorway pages--something that is not considered an ethical SEO practice. It stands to reason that your competitors are also not immune to violations.

Bad Firms

There are very notable examples of otherwise smart and established companies hiring an SEO service that put them in a worse situation than before they pursued SEO--by getting their site removed from major search engines for violating the engine's terms of service, for example. Not long ago, there was a well-publicized example where most of the clients of a Las Vegas SEO service were penalized. Almost all of the clients claimed that they were not informed that the firm was not practicing ethical SEO and that they were therefore at risk.

SEO firms are generally divided into two camps--those called "White Hats" (those that use ethical SEO practices and will never knowingly violate a search engine's terms of service) and those called "Black Hats" (those that do not use ethical SEO practices and that will attempt to unravel the latest algorithms and exploit any loopholes to achieve rankings at any cost). Neither approach is invalid--it is not against the law to violate the terms of service of a search engine. Moreover, black hat techniques can be quite effective. However, the tactics are risky, and anyone hiring an SEO service that wears a black hat and does not use ethical SEO practices should definitely be apprised of this risk up front.

Internal Resources

Firms are often tempted to avoid hiring an SEO service by performing SEO in-house, and the project almost always falls onto an already overburdened IT department. The problem with approaching SEO from a strictly technical mindset is that the strategies employed, such as the keyphrases targeted, will not necessarily be in line with the goals of the marketing and sales departments. In addition, an IT resource will usually approach SEO from a purely technical standpoint, without being aware of ethical SEO practices, and this can lead to trouble. Penalization is a very real possibility, and it is hard to get back onto an index once your site has been removed.

Monitoring

A thorough SEO service will monitor not only the handful of competitors that you deem crucial but also the sites that appear higher than you for any of your chosen search phrases. This may be somewhat controversial, especially to any SEO service or webmaster that uses tactics forbidden by the search engines' terms of service. However, many white hat SEO service firms consider it an obligation to their clients to routinely monitor the sites of any competitor found on the engines to be sure it is using ethical SEO techniques.

There is a reason that every major search engine has a form to report sites who do not use ethical SEO tactics and who violate the terms of service so that these sites can be subsequently penalized or removed. Spam filters cannot catch all violations without also removing a large number of good sites. Search engines rely on their users to help them to keep their indexes clean and free of sites not using ethical SEO tactics. There are many techniques to spam an engine--far too many to list. However, a good SEO service not only knows what all of these techniques are but knows how to identify them when it sees them so they can be reported to the engine accurately.

The End Result

Business is business, and your interests often run directly counter to that of your competitors. When you report a website that is not using ethical SEO, it is very likely that it will be removed. This means there is one less company that you need to worry about in the online arena, at least for the time being. If the site in question outranked yours, you also get the added benefit of seeing your rankings improve as the violating pages are removed--provided, of course, that you are using ethical SEO techniques and steering clear of violations yourself, or you may be reported by a competitor of yours or its SEO service!

The engine also benefits from users reporting violations. Engines do not like people trying to trick their indexes, since there might then be pages showing up for particular search terms that are not actually relevant to those terms. Clearly, search engines understand this benefit--if the engines thought they could weed out all the spam themselves, they would not provide a reporting system. Supporting such a system, after all, is not free. Real people employed by the engine have to visit the offending pages to confirm that they are not using ethical SEO tactics.

In the notable example cited earlier of the firm that got most of its clients penalized, the owner of the SEO service in question was quoted as saying, "Google can kiss my ass. This is the Wild Wild West." He may be right--maybe it is the Wild Wild West. But there are a whole bunch of new sheriffs in town--and they are wearing white hats.

5 Powerful SEO Keyword Research Tips to Rank on Google

It's not 2010 anymore. Keyword research and SEO isn't as easy as it used to be. So what should you do
[
I'm going to share with you how to do keyword research in today's world of Google.

It's way more difficult to rank on Google today than it was back in the day.

Keyword Research Tip #1: Pick a niche.

Everyone's talking about going after big terms like auto insurance, SEO, credit cards.

Yes, you can eventually get there, but it takes six months to see traction with Google these days, 12 months to start seeing your traffic go up, and two years to be crushing it on Google.

You want to go after and pick small niches.

Keyword Research Tip #2: Pick buzzwords that are trending.

Technology is moving so fast these days that things are continually changing.

Whether it's cryptocurrencies or whether it's new products that are coming out like the iPhone 100.

Go after new, upcoming words. You can find them using Google Trends.

Google Trends breaks down what's hot and what's up and coming.

You want to go after these keyword terms because they're not that competitive yet.

When you create content around new and trendy keywords, you're gonna skyrocket to the top way faster than if you went after old terms like "credit cards."

Keyword Research Tip #3: Use Ubersuggest to find keywords.

These days people just don't type in keywords like "dog food."

They'll type in keywords like "what dog food is best for my animal" or "what dog food is great to make my dog lose weight."

These are really popular terms.

Ubersuggest will show you different variations of your primary keyword, and it'll even show you how competitive they are, how much search volume you're going to get, and how many people are going to click on your listing if you rank number one, two, or number 10.

Keyword Research Tip #4: Use Quora.

Type in keywords related to your industry, and you're going to see the most popular questions people are asking.

When you start seeing the most popular questions, you'll know what kind of content to create that's related to your space.

By creating answers on your blog that are more thorough, more detailed, you're not only going to rank for it, but you're going to rank higher because you can create way more detailed responses than Quora itself.

Keyword Research Tip #5: Focus on a theme.

If you're going after credit cards, you want to have a website all about credit cards, like Credit Karma. Or you want to have a site all about marketing and SEO like me on NeilPatel.com.

If you want to get long tail traffic, what you need to do is create detailed content about specific individual topics.

When I say detailed topics, I'm NOT talking about "how to start an e-commerce site: I'm talking about "how to start an e-commerce site with Shopify." You see how much more specific that is?

You can create another article on how to create an e-commerce site using Magento. By getting very specific you can have a 10,000-word blog post and everything about setting it up with Shopify or Magento, you're going to dominate.

By being specific, anyone who's interested in that topic and even potentially interested in hiring consultants or buying products or plugins or whatever you're selling related to that topic, they're going to land on your website.

When Google releases an update, they're going to rank the most thorough website.

That's why Wikipedia does well. It's not just because they have a lot of links or brand queries. It's because Wikipedia has some of the most detailed articles on the web.

That's what you need to do with your content.

Create pages that are super thorough and detailed are high in quality.

When you do that, you'll notice that you'll start ranking for all the keywords related to your industry. That's how you do keyword research in today's world.

If you're still struggling to figure out what keywords to go after or how to do keyword research in today's Google world, leave a comment below, and I'll help you out.

How To Choose Music for Your Wedding Video

Wedding videos are nothing new. Ever since the video camera was invented, people have been videographing important events of their lives, and weddings definitely figure high on the list of important events in the life of a person. While video graphing is not new, the technology used today has enhanced greatly, and due to this, one not just gets a better quality of video, but the video is much more durable and stable than the videos that were available a few decades ago.

Today, one can have their wedding vows recorded in HD, and for the very well heeled, 3D recording of their wedding will be a reality in the near future. However, while technology has greatly enhanced the video quality, one still needs to depend on the oldest technology known to mankind, logic, to ensure that the wedding video is preserved, and becomes a warm and memorable event for the entire family. Here are some tips that will help you preserve a wedding video.

Keep a computer handy, and ensure that the videographer transfers the entire video onto your computer or laptop so that even if the original video is erased for any reason, you have your copy at hand as a savior. Of course, you will have to make the complete payment to the videographer, and only then he or she will agree to transfer the entire video to you.

It would also be a good idea to provide the videographer with a memory card, so that they can give you the memory card immediately after they have covered the wedding. You would need to get a Class 10 memory card, as that is the kind of card that a videographer would want to record a video of the wedding.

Another important way of preserving the video is to ensure that the videographer knows the camera that he or she is using. Cameras of different brands work differently, and there is every chance that they may delete the entire video by mistake, or in some cases, they might not even be able to tape the proceedings in the right manner, thereby ruining the video. Videography is not just holding the recorder towards the bride and bridegroom. It is something much more complicated, and unless the personnel are not completely comfortable with their rig, they will not be able to provide the right kind of video that would fulfill your requirements.

These are some important tips that will help you preserve a wedding video, and ensure that it remains with the family. If you are looking for a wedding videographer, you should start looking at the advertisements in the local magazines and newspapers. They will have advertisements of local businesses, including videographers. Some well-known videographers have their own websites, which provide you all the information that you would want, right from the contact numbers to their previous customer's testimonials. In fact, they will have photographs and videos that they clicked and recorded during their other stints too.

Essential Questions You Must Ask Your Wedding Videographer

Your wedding video will tell the unique story of your wedding and be a treasured family keepsake but there are no 2nd takes! Ask your wedding videographer these questions before you hire them to make sure you purchase the correct package and receive the video of your dreams.

How long have they been in business. How many wedding video's have they produced?
Who will be actually filming the wedding. If this will not be videographer you are speaking with be sure to speak with YOUR videographer.
Ask to see several samples of work filmed by the videographer who'll be filming your wedding.
Have they filmed at your wedding site/location before. If so ask to see a sample.
What is the videographer's shooting style (documentary, cinematic).
What type of cameras will be used (3 chip, HD) and how new is the equipment.
What editing equipment will be used?
Will special effects be added to the video? If so, see a sample.
How will the sound be recorded? Will wireless microphones be used.
Will they tie into the sound system at the ceremony and reception sites?
What kind of lighting system will be used? Will it be intrusive? Ask to see samples of footage with and without their lighting systems to see which style you prefer.
Will they arrive before their contracted time to set-up?
How many cameras will be used?
How many camera operators will be used?
What is their overtime rate? (as wedding schedules often run later than planned).
Can you select your own music for the video?
What other services do they provide? Many videographers of photo montages which can be shown at the reception.
Will the videographer bring an assistant?
Will they have a back-up camera available?
How many copies of the final program will you receive and will they be on DVD?
How much will additional dvd copies cost?
Will you receive a copy of the raw footage?
How long will it take to complete the program and when will you receive your DVD's?

Wedding Unity Candle Lighting Ceremony

The Unity Candle lighting ceremony is symbolically a ritual that signifies the union of two people and their families in a Christian wedding ceremony in Toronto. Some couples opt to light the unity candle while a song is being sung while others prefer it when the minister is giving a candle lighting narrative.

During the ceremony in Toronto, the couple moves to where the candleholders are and proceeds to stand alongside each candleholder. On both sides of the unity candle or large pillar candle, two taper candles are placed. The pillar candle is made of sculpted wax and decorated with ribbon accents. There are pillars that also have romantic quotes and biblical passages. They represent the Toronto Bride and Groom's lives as individuals before they are united in marriage. Each couple then picks their candles and as one, they light the central unity candle. They then blow out their individual candles, which symbolizes an end to their separate living.

When performing the Unity Candle ceremony in Toronto, there are no standard criteria or a specific place to perform the ceremony. The performance normally occurs after the rings have been exchanged and before the couple is pronounced as man and wife. This ceremony can be customized and the personal details are at the couple's discretion.

As a couple plans for the ceremony, they start by setting up the unity candle area. It is advisable to light the wicks then extinguish them since pre-burned wicks light easily in comparison to new ones. It is however optional who gets to light the tapers. For example, both the groom and brides' mothers can each light one candle. Before the ceremony, the groom lights a taper and the bride lights hers when she is escorted in. In a case where the couple brings children into the new marriage, it is optional for the children to light the tapers. The couple lights the large center candle. Couples may choose to leave their tapers on or blow them out. Some couples feel that extinguishing the candles displays their commitment to one another. Others feel that when they leave the candles lit, they retain and realize their individuality that exists in their marriage. Special songs are normally played while lighting the unity candle though you can opt for a special poem to be read or even prefer a moment of silence.

10 Things A Bride Should Never Do At Her Wedding

It's that time of the year again. Recent bad weather may have halted the traffic all over the country but it has not managed to dampen the enthusiasm of the soon to be couples. The wedding season is about to kick off. So I thought why not write down few points for the bride's to be so that they can have a great wedding day.

1) Don't decide to try a new foundation, lipstick or blusher etc. on the day - you don't want to have a reaction and end up with blotchy skin.

2) Don't sleep too late the night before as you need to be fresh in the morning as tiredness can show through the make-up.

3) Don't organize everything yourself - Delegate! Give the responsibility of timings and the order of things to someone who knows the family but is not required being part of any ceremony - A close friend is ideal.

4) Don't use too little make-up. It needs to be a little thicker as it needs to last all day and not start flaking off as your pictures will look terrible.

5) Don't skimp on the photographer or videographer. You will have spent so much on the venue, make-up and dress then why not have it all immortalized on film and print in the best possible way.

6) Don't chew gum - many a time a bride has been caught with gum in her mouth - not classy babe!

7) Don't get upset - it will show on your face and obviously all eyes are on you and that includes the photographer and videographer - if something upsets you just tell someone quietly with a smile - no-one need ever know.

8) Don't drink too much alcohol - last thing you want people to remember is a drunk bride.

9) Don't forget that photographs tell a thousand words so when the family pics are being taken make sure you have a smile on your face as a frown caught at the wrong moment may make it look like you don't like some uncle or aunty!

10) Finally don't worry! Just enjoy your day - it's the culmination of months of planning - if some things don't happen at exactly the right minute of the hour, let it go. You can t plan every second of the day but you can decide to enjoy the best moment of your life!

Network Monitoring - An Overview!

Define network monitoring

Network monitoring is the eyes-and-ears of your organization. Anything that goes wrong and under your control, needs to be accessed and tracked on your network by the constant monitoring. In addition, you can keep a tab on any other usual stuff such as printer supplies, software installations, hard drive space, contract due dates. So, get anything that you can actually assume and think relates to your network.

The main types of problems that arise in a network are usually concerned with something that keeps changing frequently. The good quality network system will gives you the alert to some of the possible changes and will also help you to escalate the issue by allowing the owner to resolves the issues that came in between the network's current state. Hence, it helps in resolving the matter faster and better. Under this system, usually alerts are sent via email or text messages whenever such issues arise. An email notification helps them to keep them resolved and quickly address such discrepancies in the shortest possible time. Apart from all these benefits, such systems will help you to become friendly with everyone, your colleagues, customers, shareholders, partners and such other people.

What to look when dealing with a network monitor solution?

While looking for a fruitful network monitor solution, it is important to know the main areas of its strength;

Monitor PC hardware and supplies: It is important to know key components when changes are made to your network devices.

Features and Implementation of Windows Azure

Microsoft Azure is now popularly known as Windows Azure, the cloud computing platform that is developed by Microsoft for building, managing and deploying the applications and the services through the network of Microsoft data centers. It offers IaaS and PaaS services and supports various programming languages, frameworks and tools, including the third-party and Microsoft-specific software and systems.

Characteristics

Azure is the Microsoft's cloud application platform. Recently in 2012,Azure stack came up with the following features:

• The websites allow the developers to build the sites by using PHP, ASP.NET, Python or Node.js, and can be distributed by using Git, FTP or Mercurial Server.

• The virtual machines allow the developers to travel from the infrastructure without changing the code, and thus can run the Linux machines and the Windows Server. Cloud services also support the automated deployments and multi-tier scenarios. Microsoft's Platform Service is used in order to create extensive applications and services.

Data Management

The SQL Database, which was previously well-known as the SQL Azure Database, works to scale and extend applications in the cloud by using SQL server technology.

Media Services

Paas can be used for content protection, encoding, and streaming or analytics. The Microsoft Azure Platform offers an API built on the HTTP, REST and XML which allows the developer to connect with the services which is offered by Azure. Moreover, it also integrates with Git, Eclipse and Microsoft Visual Studio. It also provides the managed library class which epitomizes the functions of connecting with the services.

Other Services

Websites

It helps in the hosting of websites. The customers create the sites in ASP.NET, PHP, Python or Node.js and you can also select from various open source applications available in the gallery in order to deploy. This consists of an aspect of Platform as a Service (PaaS) offerings for the Azure.

Virtual Machines

The Microsoft azure stack virtual machines consist of Infrastructure as the service providing from Microsoft to the public cloud. As the preview, these machines supported the Windows Server 2008 and 2012 systems and distributors of Linux. The customers can also create the Virtual Machines, which they have control in order to run the Data Centers.

Cloud Services

The cloud computing services are the containers of the hosted applications. The applications are usually public web applications, like e-commerce solutions or websites. Developers write code, mainly for the cloud services in different programming languages. They can also be used in the private processing engines for some other work, like processing orders or the analyzing data. However, some of the software development kits are commenced by Microsoft for Java, Python and NET. The other languages support through the open source projects.

Implementation

Azure uses the specialized operating system known as Microsoft Azure in order to run "fabric layer", which is hosted at Microsoft's data centers, which manages the storage and computing resources of the computers and the provisions of the resources to the application running on the of Azure. Reliability and Scaling are controlled by the Azure Fabric Controller. The Microsoft Azure is described as the "cloud layer" on the Server Systems that use Windows Server 2008 and also the customized version of the Hyper-V, popularly known as the Azure Hypervisor in order to provide virtualization of the services. So, the environment and the services don't crash if the server crashes within the data center and offers the management of the user's web application, such as the load balancing and the memory resources.

Privacy

Microsoft Azure has stated, according to the USA Patriot Act, the US government has the access to the data ven though the hosted company is not American and the data resides outside the USA. Azure is a compliant with E.U. data Protection Directive. In order to manage the Security and Privacy related concerns, Microsoft has created the Microsoft Trust Center.

All About IoT

Introduction.

IoT or Internet of Things is a blazing point nowadays. But what precisely is IoT? Explanation in the simplest way is that, it can be regarded as a virtual internet connection between everything present in our surroundings can be operated & monitored over the internet. It depicts a circumstance where everything encompassing our surroundings is made and prepared to do consequent interactions with one another with no inter-human or human-to-machine contact.

In technical terms the Internet of Things (IoT) is the arrangement of physical things or "things" embedded with equipment, programming, sensors, and framework accessibility, which enables these articles to accumulate and exchange data. The Internet of Things licenses things to be distinguished and controlled remotely transversely over existing framework foundation making open entryways for more clear compromise between the physical world and PC based structures. These contraptions accumulate significant data with the help of diverse existing advances and a while later freely stream the data between different gadgets. Current business division cases consolidate splendid indoor controller structures and washer/dryers that use Wi-Fi for remote watching.

Advantages of IoT

Transportation:
We are familiar with the term GPS. For instance we have been using it to track the movement of delivery trucks from considerable length of time now. IoT eases and simplifies this whole process of tracking of trucks as it uses a monitoring sensor which helps to track distance and time locations along with other contributing factors.

Promotions:
Use of IoT is possible in businesses for sending mobile promotions to regular shoppers. So what IoT does is it keeps a track about what is the ongoing trend or what shoppers are more interested in by tracking shopper's history. It smartly utilizes location-based tracking of the physical shoppers as well as those who shop over the internet.

Vending technology:
IoT has played a big role in enhancing the working of vending machines by enabling them to communicate to monitor inventory levels, determine pricing, etc.

Time:
In today's modern world, everyone around us is rushing to reach somewhere and even after rushing so much, still 24 hours is just not enough. But because of IoT Singapore, the amount of time saved could be quite large. So we all can use that time, saved by IoT.

Money:
The biggest advantage of IoT is saving money. If the price of the tagging and monitoring equipment is less than the amount of money saved, then the Internet of Things will be very widely adopted.

Environmental monitoring;
In this case, IoT uses sensors to assist in the protection of the environment by monitoring air or water quality, atmospheric or soil conditions and also be used to monitor the movements of wildlife and their habitats. It can also be used to detect earthquakes or early warning of tsunamis or other such calamities through which emergency services can be prepared with more effective aid.

Disadvantages of IOT

Compatibility:
Currently there is no international standard of compatibility for the tagging and monitoring equipment.

Privacy:
With all of this IoT data being transmitted, the risk of losing privacy increases. Having more information accessible on the web to government agencies, data aggregators, and hackers may not be a comforting thought for members of the public. Take, for example, toilets that measure blood sugar in urine and convey that information to a doctor's office. That information, if accessed by non-intended recipients could be used against the connected toilet owner when applying for insurance or a job.

Potential of widespread malware:
The interconnection of devices done by IoT system could make it much easier for malware to spread throughout a home's integrated system, with results ranging from complete corruption to minor inconveniences. Because of this, rather than having one device to fix, there could be numerous devices requiring a sweep of the infecting malware.

Intrusion:
Imagine all your appliances are connected by the web to manufactures and businesses that deal in the related products gets your data. This will result in unwanted offerings and advertisements on the LED screens of refrigerators, washers, dryers, etc. These unwanted advertisements may keep on growing as the data of your appliance gets shared across numerous business.

Future of IOT

In future, maybe till 2020 IoT Singapore will become the most essential part of our life as it will connect different sources of information such as sensors, mobile phones and cars in an ever tighter manner. The number of devices which connect to the Internet is increasing. These billions of components produce, consume and process information in different environments such as logistic applications, factories and airports as well as in the work and everyday lives of people.

Conclusion

IoT is the new upcoming technology with numerous advantages and certain assumed disadvantages but those advantages can be transformed in to advantages by little bit of more research and advancement into the system as it is going to be the most effective part of are lives in the near future.

The IoT and the Day the Internet Died, Almost

A little over a week ago, the Internet almost died.

Starting on Thursday, October 20, much of the U.S. and parts of Western Europe experienced a massive outage. Some of the most popular and heavily used websites in the world went silent. Poor Donald Trump couldn't tweet for a few hours.

And it was all because of cheap webcams and DVD players... perhaps even one of yours.

Making Connections

To understand how this happened, you need to understand how Internet of Things (IoT) devices work.

If you're reading this, you have an Internet connection. To make that connection, your computer or smartphone needs to have three things:

A piece of hardware designed to connect to the Internet through a cable or wirelessly
Software to run that hardware, which contains its unique Internet "IP" address
A way to tell the difference between authorized and unauthorized connections
The last requirement is typically met by a username and password to connect to your Internet service provider. But it's also possible for other devices to connect remotely to your computer across the Internet - "incoming connections." Some of those are good (e.g., incoming Skype calls), and some are bad (hackers). Having passwords for IoT devices achieves the same thing - but only if they're strong passwords.

The tech industry has worked hard to develop common techniques to identify and stop unwanted incoming connections to computers. Operating systems are constantly updated to deal with the latest threat. Specialized companies do nothing but watch for viruses, bots, malware and other dangers and design software to fight them. Guys like me write about how you can maintain good digital hygiene. That's why we have far fewer virus outbreaks than we used to.

When it comes to Internet connections, IoT hardware has pretty much the same setup. But there are three big differences.

One is that the username and password setup may be hard to alter - it may even be hardwired by the manufacturer, as seems to have been the case with the devices that contributed to the recent Internet outage.

Another is that IoT devices are always on and rarely monitored. Unlike a computer, they could be infected and you'd never know.

Above all, there is no collective effort to monitor and prevent hacking of IoT devices. Nobody is sending out general security updates, like a McAfee or Norton antivirus service. They can't, since IoT devices are all different. There's no common language or protocol that could address threats to all IoT devices at once.

Instead, it's up to the manufacturer of each IoT device to secure the device and to update its "firmware" when threats become known.

We tried that approach with computers... and it didn't work.

How This Led to Last Week's Outage

In the recent outage, IoT hardware made by a Chinese manufacturer - including those cheap bundled home-security webcams you see advertised at Home Depot - was hacked by someone using software called Mirai. It searches the Internet looking for IoT gadgets that use default passwords or simple passwords, infects them and then assembles them into a "botnet"- a collection of devices that can be made to do the hacker's wishes.

In this case, they instructed IoT devices to send "tens of millions" of connection requests to the servers of a U.S. company that provides crucial Internet routing information. Overwhelmed, the company's servers crashed... and with it, the Web pages of sites like Twitter, Facebook, The New York Times and others.

This was possible because the software running the Chinese IoT hardware used a single hardwired username and password for all of them - which couldn't be changed by the user. Once the hackers got the username and password, it was easy to program them to do what they did.

Roland Dobbins, principal engineer of Internet security company Arbor Networks, blames this on the failure of manufacturers to work together to develop a common security approach to IoT. Instead, each company pursues its own designs and ignores the PC industry's painful experience in this respect.

"I'm not concerned about the future; I'm concerned about the past," he said recently. "If I could wave a magic wand, I would make it so there are no unsecured embedded devices out there. We still have a huge problem; we still have tens of millions of these devices out there."

Don't Disconnect From the IoT

Does this mean that positive predictions about the IoT are misplaced?

Not at all.

First, companies like Samsung, which plans to make all its products Internet-connected soon, now have an incentive to develop ways to fight this. Otherwise we won't buy their products.

Second, consumers aren't going to stand for a situation like the old Betamax versus VCR wars - competing approaches to a common need. The IoT is a platform, like the Internet itself, and everyone needs to be on the same one. Manufacturers will sit down and come up with common protocols to secure IoT devices, even if they're kicking and screaming all the way.

Third, the same market forces that produced Norton, McAfee, Kaspersky Lab and all the other security companies in the computer space are going to produce solutions for the IoT Singapore. And there will be money to be made investing in those as well as the IoT itself.

In the meantime, here's my advice. Get IoT devices... but only the top of the line. Avoid cheap mass-produced off-brands. Ask salespeople about security protocols and whether you can set your own username and password easily. If not, walk away. They'll get the picture soon enough.

After all, that's the way "market forces" are supposed to work.

Does Your Car Really Need 3M Paint Protection?

Your car's paint is tough enough to remain in good condition but if you take a closer look at it, you will find out that it is far from perfect. A car can be maintained in excellent condition solely if it is kept in a garage and never taken out.

What causes minor car paint damage? A lot of harmful influences will be capable of scratching or nicking the coating. Something as simple as tiny flying rocks can cause a lot of damage. The same applies to sand, gravel and other kinds of roadside debris.

Car paint will also be permanently damaged through staining. Some of the roadside stains are exceptionally stubborn and impossible to remove. These are usually caused by tar and grease buildups. Bug stains, although removable, can be a true pain to handle. They demand a lot of effort to be taken out of the paint.

Most vehicle owners visit car shops to deal with minor damage like paint scratches. Although far from very expensive, fixing such problems on a regular basis can lead to some undesired expenditure. This is why the 3M paint protection film is a truly practical solution.

3M clear bra is a very thin polyurethane film that is very tough and nearly 100 percent transparent. This paint protection film will absorb the shock and deflect small flying objects. Thus, the car paint located underneath will remain unharmed.

The clear bra is just one of the options available on the market. Other bras are made of vinyl and leather, for example. They are much heavier and more difficult to install. The only advantage that such car bras come with is that they are capable of deflecting larger objects precisely because of the fact that they are heavier.

Apart from the fact that it absorbs shock, the clear bra film is water resistant. This is one of the biggest differences between it and the older kinds of car bras. No moisture can get trapped underneath, which means that the clear bra can remain in its place when the car is getting washed or whenever a rainfall is expected. The fact increases its practicality because other kinds of car paint protection need to be removed and re-installed each time.

Once installed, 3M paint protection will remain in excellent condition for at least five years. This is the duration of the product's warranty. Many vehicle owners have, however, reported that the clear bra will offer reliable protection over a much longer period of time. Proper maintenance of the car and the usage of a garage will extend its longevity.

Do you need a paint protection film for your car? The answer depends on the manner in which you maintain your car. Every vehicle suffers some damage, even if the driver is very careful and using solely the best of roads. The usage of 3M paint protection will minimize maintenance costs, which makes it highly affordable and very practical. To sum it up, everybody can benefit from the product, even the owners of motorcycles, bicycles, boats and private jets. Does 3M paint protection work? It does and it can prevent the appearance of ugly scratches from some of the most common types of roadside influences.

Auto Painting Tips - Auto Paint Protection and Care

Auto Painting Tips - Auto Paint Protection and Care

I remember when I first bought my new car, I was astonished at the look of a new paint job and I knew that from then on I would keep the paint looking great. Well, 3 years later I am looking at a car that has massive overspray and dirt all over. For a car enthusiast, it is at the utmost importance to keep your paint maintained and protected. Here are a few tips on how you can protect and maintain your vehicles paint job:

The Obvious: Wash Your Vehicle!

The most obvious tip in this article is going to be washing your vehicle. I know that it probably shouldn't be mentioned but even I get lazy every now and then and fail to get out there and wash my car. I would refrain from using car washes as they can accidentally scratch your vehicles paint. Most of the time, you will need to wash your car before doing anything else to it such as waxing or using compound and/or clay.

Keeping Your Vehicle Safe:

If you can keep your vehicle in the garage when you are at home, by all means drive her in there! You can save your paint job from random debris and overspray that the neighbors didn't tell you about. I have had this happen a few times. Also, try to keep your vehicle out of the sun as much as possible. After all, you wouldn't deliberately sit in the sun all day knowing it would be painful, would you?

Keeping your Paint Waxed:

A lot of people don't realize that your paint is just like the skin on your body. When it's hot outside the pores in the paint open up causing dirt and debris to fill in, easily damaging the paint on your vehicle. By Waxing your vehicle, you can ensure that the dirt and debris will not get in the pores of the paint when they are opened up by heat. If you are going to wax your vehicles paint, make sure you wash your vehicle first so that you can remove all the dirt and debris. Waxing your vehicle will also prolong the clear coat life and keep you semi protected from minor scratches.

Applying a Good Sealer:

Car Sealant became popular around the late 1980's and since then people have been using what is known as "clear coat" to coat over their vehicles paint for added protection. I guess you could consider it the skin on the apple. After a while of wear and tear, your paint will begin to lose its sealer or clear coat and you will have to add more. Now, you can go to a paint shop and paint boat loads of money to do this or you can do it yourself (it's not very hard). You want to make sure you always have a good paint sealant so that if you get overspray or a scratch on the paint, it won't hurt the paint.

In conclusion, you can always keep your vehicles paint protected. It's always better to be overprotective of your paint if you want to keep it in show room floor quality.
