It's that time of the year again. Recent bad weather may have halted the traffic all over the country but it has not managed to dampen the enthusiasm of the soon to be couples. The wedding season is about to kick off. So I thought why not write down few points for the bride's to be so that they can have a great wedding day.
1) Don't decide to try a new foundation, lipstick or blusher etc. on the day - you don't want to have a reaction and end up with blotchy skin.
2) Don't sleep too late the night before as you need to be fresh in the morning as tiredness can show through the make-up.
3) Don't organize everything yourself - Delegate! Give the responsibility of timings and the order of things to someone who knows the family but is not required being part of any ceremony - A close friend is ideal.
4) Don't use too little make-up. It needs to be a little thicker as it needs to last all day and not start flaking off as your pictures will look terrible.
5) Don't skimp on the photographer or videographer. You will have spent so much on the venue, make-up and dress then why not have it all immortalized on film and print in the best possible way.
6) Don't chew gum - many a time a bride has been caught with gum in her mouth - not classy babe!
7) Don't get upset - it will show on your face and obviously all eyes are on you and that includes the photographer and videographer - if something upsets you just tell someone quietly with a smile - no-one need ever know.
8) Don't drink too much alcohol - last thing you want people to remember is a drunk bride.
9) Don't forget that photographs tell a thousand words so when the family pics are being taken make sure you have a smile on your face as a frown caught at the wrong moment may make it look like you don't like some uncle or aunty!
10) Finally don't worry! Just enjoy your day - it's the culmination of months of planning - if some things don't happen at exactly the right minute of the hour, let it go. You can t plan every second of the day but you can decide to enjoy the best moment of your life!
